Eastern Creek Track Day

October 12th, 2009

Hey guys,

So last weekend I paid a visit with my motorbike to the Eastern Creek Raceway with some of the guys from the cbr250.com forum, and put our bikes up to a challenge.

180km/h down the straight and about 80km/h around some corners, the day was a REAL thrill. Here’s a nice photo to sum it up :D

Two new projects

August 26th, 2009

It’s been a few weeks since my last update, but I’ve been very busy with new studies that I’m commencing soon and with work and my motorbike!
Good news though, I’ve recently taken on two new clients for freelance work which I am starting this week. I can’t give much details on the what or who now, but in a couple of weeks when the projects are completed or very much underway, I’ll give some more information and add the sites to my portfolio.

Stay tuned :)

Mick.

Wiseman’s Ferry CBR250.com run

July 5th, 2009

Just got home from an AWESOME run with the CBR250.com crew to Wiseman’s Ferry and back VIA the old pacific highway. A strong turn out of about 20 people, with bikes ranging from 250cc to 1000cc, a great day was had!

Getting more confident on my turns now, I’m able to lean more into the corners meaning I can take them a bit more smoothly without running wide from standing too tall.

Check out the pics here http://cbr250.com/cbr250/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=59202 !!

Can’t wait until the next run :)

CBR250.com

July 1st, 2009

Hey guys,

So I’ve joined a great online forum/community at CBR250.com which is basically a community for bikers (primarily owners of CBR250s :P ), but everyone is welcome. It’s a place to compare bikes, get tips on servicing bike, selling/buying bikes and gear and organising regular ride outs.

I went on my first ride out the other night through the Eastern Suburbs. We met at Harry’s cafe in Wooloomooloo (spelling?) and rode for a good hour before ending up at a Japanese restaurant on King st. I absolutely love it!

Got another ride out this Sunday, meeting at Dural Maccas and riding to Wiseman’s Ferry for lunch, then doing a big loop to head back home. My new CBR is getting some good action as I’ve been riding her every day for plenty of practice :)

Can’t wait until sunday. Make sure you guys check out those forums, they’re great if you a fan of the two-wheelers.

My new baby

June 27th, 2009

Well I’ve finally done it :)

After selling my car, I drove to singleton with two of my friends (who know everything about motorbikes) and picked up a Honda CBR250RR :)

Being my first bike, I’ve been taking it very easy for the first few weeks, just riding on streets I know well, so that I can get plenty of practice in. At $12/tank of petrol, it cuts my costs dramatically from the old $65/tank prelude. Insurance is also halved.

Theo, the old owner, was very very VERY much into keeping this thing clean and running smoothly. Regular servicing and cleaning, means this bike is in great condition!

I’ve joined the forum over at cbr250.com where regular ride outs are organized and it’s just a great community to be a part of.

Here are some pics :) What do you guys think?!

Car Sold!

June 15th, 2009

Well the prelude is sold!
Now that it’s gone, I can begin looking for…. (can’t say until I’ve found it).

It went at 7pm tonight! A decent price too, a bit below what I was looking for, but the whole sale process is out of my hair now so that’s all that matters.

Better put a stop on my insurance before I pay another month.

WOO WOO :)

Concept: RvB

June 11th, 2009

Hey Guys.

I started work on a concept for RvBRed vs Blue internet cafe in Epping, which would have a forum, server query and a few other gaming related features, but unfortunately RvB decided not to have a website at all after the project had commenced.

So, rather than let it go to waste, I figured I’d atleast show the concept off. What do you guys think about it?

Let me know :) !

New Project: playRR.net

June 11th, 2009

I was spending some time thinking the other day, that I needed a new project. Something to pass time for me in periods of boredom. I decided, time for a new website project that would keep me busy for 15-20 minutes a day (post completion).

playRR

So I thought about what topic to base it on? I was thinking NRL, because of all the crap that goes on these days, then maybe backpacking? I’ve done enough of it to base a website on it, but then I figured… gaming.

I was a long time gamer in my younger years, and knowing the right people, getting a gaming website off the ground wouldn’t be too hard right? I’ve got enough contacts who I could hopefully use as content writers, and if they are constant, well then I don’t have to do anything!! .. sounds easy enough, so why shouldn’t it be!!

It’s under development at the moment and is living at www.playrr.net. Check it out some time :)

micmah version 2!

June 11th, 2009

Well it’s finally been done!
After nights and nights of making one concept after the other, I finally came across something that I like :)

I decided a few weeks ago that I needed to redesign micmah.com because it was too much of a blog based website, and not enough showing off the fact that I’m a freelance web designer. So low and behold, I got under way on designing my new layout.

Take some time to peruse the new design and let me know what you think :) Test my contact form out and let me know how it all goes!

Cheers
